Contractual, Domestic Service Aide – Jackson, MI

Care One is seeking an experienced Domestic Service Aide for the Duane Waters Correctional Facility in Jackson, MI.

• Duane Waters Correctional Facility
• 1:00p – 9:30p, rotating weekends
• $21.00/hr
• PTO
• Weekly Pay

Domestic Service Aide Requirements:

• Cleaning and Disinfecting: Performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure that surfaces, floors, and restrooms are clean and sanitized, reducing the risk of infection and promoting a safe environment.
• Waste Management: Collecting and disposing of waste, including hazardous materials, in accordance with safety regulations.
• Maintenance of Supplies: Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Following health and safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
• Reporting Issues: Identifying and reporting maintenance or repair needs in the facility.

Domestic Service Aide Responsibilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent is often preferred but not always required.
• Previous experience in cleaning or custodial work may be advantageous but is not always necessary.
• Understanding of cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and communicate effectively.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in attendance and performance.
