- Chippewa Correctional Facility
- Split afternoons, overnights
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- Paid time off
- Medical and dental after 90 days
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan RN License
- Strong patient assessment and management skills
- Experience in venipuncture and IV therapy
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive patient care
- Emergency healthcare response
- Medication administration
- Health education
Correctional Nurse Duties:
- EKGs, Health Screens, TB tests
- Immunizations
- Utilization of MCIR
- Health Care Clearances
- Education on Hepatitis C and HIV status
- Evaluation for segregation clearance
- Insulin lines and blood sugar monitoring
- Breathing treatments and wound care
Pre Employment Requirements:
- 2 TB tests OR Quantiferon/QGold
- Drug Screen
- Physical
